“It’s just a dream.” Cole’s voice penetrated the fog of Rachel’s sleep.

Tentatively, she reached up, brushing her fingers through his thick short hair, resting her palm on his stubbled cheek, feeling her heart swell with longing for this moment to stretch, for this man to stay with her, for Cole to love her.
